All of the style and the beauty of the 1950's and 60's but with modern performance and reliability. This fabulous car was inspired by the Ferrari, Maserati and Jaguars of the period but skillfully avoids falling into the trap of being some 'wannabe replica'.

This car has been used in a number of photo shoots and even starred in a short movie project. Regularly shown at Brooklands, Beaulieu, Wilton house and elsewhere. A little cosmetic titillation would elevate this to a true show car whilst remaining eminently driveable.

A full body respray in the stunning Ferrari Barchetta red in 2022 was completed in time for a European rally later that year where this was voted the most beautiful car, against others more than four times as expensive. The original owner and designer is reluctantly releasing the car after a decade of enjoyment to make way for, and fund, his next project.

More than the sum of the parts
This car was designed from the outset to fulfil certain essential criteria. It had the be beautiful, fast, stylish and desirable. These demands had to be achieved while also being practical, efficient, safe and useable as a daily driver.

The initial inspiration was the Maserati 300 but I was very careful not to create some badly fitting pastiche, instead seeking inspiration from the shapes and lines of this and many other cars of the period. It is fun to listen to others at shows discussing what the car may be and which bits remind them of what.

When making the modifications I was careful to maintain the practicality so behind the secret panel carefully hidden behind the toggle switches are the electric windows, Electric roof, heated seat....
​
The running gear is all BMW with their gorgeous 2.8 M52 straight six providing ample torque and power while having a ready parts and upgrade supply. I couldn't resist a little tweaking of this so modified the air box and inlet manifold to really free the breathing and a recent trip over the Alps proved this was a very successful improvement.
